2012 Street Glide with Chrome Works Super Saver slip ons with stock headers. Wanting to add the Arlen Ness Big Sucker and the Xieds. Does this upgrade pack much punch or does a person need to jump to a 2-1-2 header by Fuel Moto?
You may pick up 5-6 hp and maybe 10 tq with that set-up. You'll need a new head pipe if you desire any more power and that will add about another 4 hp or so and 7-10 tq. There are multiple companies that make headers but FM is a good choice.
I would wait till after the 1st of the year. Pick up the phone and call fuelmot.
Tell them what you are wanting out of your bike.
And let them make suggestions to you.
The Arlen ness high flow air breather broke off of the 2008 bike i had.
The cover was too heavy.
I would look at the Vance & Hines VO2 Air Intake Kit .
That is a fairly inexpensive way to go.
About $250 or so?
You can also get a used Power Commander V on this site for about the same price as the Xieds which I would recommend. You can put a map in it, where as the Xieds only richen the fuel.
Mine works great(still).
Oh and BTW, I've had my AN/BS 1 on now for 5 years and NOT 1 ISSUE!!
Ness stands behind their products as has been said, much more than does HD.
That's no bullshit.

This overview of EFI options may help you out some.
Xied's are a good option, however they do leave 10 to 15% of the available power. Many are still very happy with the results they get from the xied's. This is the least expensive and most benefit for the amount of money spent.
The Power Vision does give you 100% of the available power.
It is delivered to you with a Custom Map, for Your Bike, already installed in it. You can plug it in, load the new tune into your bike, unplug it, and be riding with the New Tune in 5 minutes.
I have a decatted stocke header, RCX slip ons, RSD air cleaner, and FL-Xied that i got on ebay for 70.00 bucks.
They made a difference for sure. It was a more noticable throttle response. Nothing earth shattering but for the 70.00 bucks I paid for them, it was worth the money.
Still wanting a tad more, just got an SE255 take off cam, and PCV take off as well here on th forum and hoping this the kind of performance boost is what I was looking for. Also more $$$$
Xieds are not a tuner. And not the correct way to do things.
A Power Commander V is no where as good of a unit as the Power Vision.
Realize your bike is very expensive. And for it to get the timing or anything close to where it needs to be along with the AFR's you need a good tuner.
And access to maps.
Fuelmoto is your key to this. Buy it from Jamie and get free maps. Or go and have somebody to dyno it. They you wind up paying more.
