2013 Ultra Limited
SE a/f
Rhinehert exhaust (probably spelled wrong) 4" slip-ons
I'm assuming a stage 1 remap (the bike is new to me)
I'm wanting to remove the puddy cat, will the increase in flow and decrease in back pressure mess with the way it runs? or should I get a tuner before I do this to compensate for the difference. Plan on getting a tuner and header pipes, just having to upgrade as funds are available. It runs real good now, well compared to my 20 year old GL1500 Goldwing.
Thanks in advance, and y'all have a ton of tech brain power on this site from what I can tell from reading what y'all post. I plan on learning as much as I can.
At MGS we have a few options you can look at. We have 4" slip ons right now for $249 and a head pipe so when you have more funds available you can step into our system piece by piece. We also have a full true duals system for $700. And lastly we have our stage 1 pkg true duals full system, Power Commander 5 with a preloaded map from our dyno, and an arlen ness big sucker for $1089.
The Power Vision does not bypass the O2 sensors. The PV is every bit as good as the TTS. Either of these would be far and above better than any piggyback tuner.
Yessir the AutoTune basic comes standard with the PV and has an add on option for the AutoTune Pro. Better tuner than the PCV but that's just my opinion. Nothing wrong with the PCV at all. Lots of folks using it with good results but it's not in the same league as the PV.

2010 Limited with some stuff!!
I completely agree with your PCV and PV comment....For most people a PCV will do everything needed, for the few people who do radical stuff to their motor a PV is better, but for the general audience that changes intake, exhaust and maybe cams, but doesn't do head work or use supper hot cams the PCV will get them ALMOST a perfect tune with just a fuelmoto map, and by that I mean a map that the owner wont be able to tell that their bike is missing a fraction of a hp at some particular rpm here and there....Also for the guy that said look at the plugs in the first few posts...the plugs on fuel injected bikes wont tell you squat about how the bike is running (unless it is so far off that it is blowing black smoke or stumbling) , in the old carb. days you could use the plugs to get an idea of the condition of the burn but them days are gone..
Just when you think you've done all your home work. Didn't know there was an auto tune basic in the PV. Guess I have to make a call and see if they will stop shipment. I can always put the WB o2 sensors in at a later date and go auto tune pro if I need.

It's aight we all have itchy trigger fingers from time to time LOL.

That's why I was tryin' to offer up some local help.
I have to say, Top Notch Customer Service at FuelMoto. They are going to do a freight recall on the PCV and ship me the PV. And they seemed happy to do it, even though it will be less money to them.
