Angry Floorboard Help

Looking for a little help guys/gals. Right after my last ride back in Dec, I noticed the 3 chrome accent strips in my left side Streamliner passenger floorbard were missing while detailing the bike. Upon closer inspection, it looked like the entire rubber insert had been pryed upward. Of course my initial reaction was WTF!! My wife must have some serious intuition because she walked into the garage with a smile and a Bud Light.. She asked "you good"? Lol... Anyway, I asked her if she felt anything strange in the movement of her floorbards and she said no. She doesn't ever move around alot back there and since I got the floorboad extensions she has said many times that riding is much more comfortable.

Inspecting the floorboard even closer, I did not notice any excessive scuffung from her boots or uneven wear on the rubber pads themselves. Looking at the ends of the slits where the chrome accent strips go, I observed small spider cracks as if a small tool of some sort was stuck in the floorboard and pressure was applied in a lifting motion.

I'm sure I could have asked this with a quick question but I wanted to provide a little detail in case someone else experienced something similar. I really think someone tried to steal the floorboard insert and took accent strips cause thats what they really needed. I have a hard time thinking this just vibrated out...

Anybody have any insight, experienced anything similar? I have searched high and low, been to a couple of dealerships before I left on this deployment and I have been searching the internet to find the 3 chrome accent strips but I have had no luck. The dealer says I have to buy a whole new floorbard! Hard to believe that the 3 strips are not available for sale anywhere. What are y'alls thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.

I think you'll have to buy a new floorboard as well. Don't recall ever seeing just the strips for sale.

2010 Limited with some stuff!!

Sounds like someone tried to steal it, but at the same time someone stealing it for what it is would know how to remove it the right way without damaging it. That being said, Streamliner accented product is what it is. They don't sell the strips. Same with pegs.

Pretty much what I figured. Rather than paying another $200+ for another set, I found a stock streamliner rider floorboard from a bike being parted out for about $40. I will take that route and attempt to remove the accent strips from that, measure, cut and insert into my passeger floorboard. What a pain in the A$$ thing to have to worry about and deal with...

I may have a set for the front, but not the passenger. I got them in a package deal off ebay only to find out they were the inserts not the hole floor board.

At the recent CO Motorcycle Expo/Swap, there were stock Streamliner floor boards all over the place. You could try some swap meets, everyone who fully customizes their tourer takes theirs off when they do boards
