05 Ultra..Stock at this time. I want to do Stage1 in the winter and am not sure what is best and why. Should a person go tru dual or just slip ons. What happens to fuel mileage. Down or up. What do I gain over slip ons versus tru duals..Cost of course much more..Do i need to drop big coin or moderate..What does the other glide owners have going on..40 percent of my rides are 2 up.????
I love my rineharts. I have much more power, lower heat on legs and they sound great. I get 40-45 mph riding like a bat outta hell. Not that I would ever speed.
all i can say is i have SEII slip-ons i love them and if ya look through some of theses threads there has been alot of discussion about exhaust latly....seems everyday another exhaust thread or post...browse around you will get some good advise
Yota,
I have a 05 ultra and started with HD download and slip-on's like the sound go with the SERT my dealership is not even offering the download any more (to many complates) crossover pipe gets very hot for passager. I just switched to Rineharts great pipe.
SuperTrapp slip-ons with internal baffle. 41 mpg typical but the faster I go the lower it gets. Nice tone but not too loud and fully adjustable. Stage 1, down load and SE air cleaner kit. Not enough people look at these as a realistic option. Noise is just noise. Motor music is just that... music.
