On my Heritage I never had an issue with using my thumb to engage the turn signals nor use the horn. On the RK I just bought it feels as though I have to adjust my hand a bit to engage the cruise and the reach for the turn signals seems a bit further.
Is this a function of the grips I have - maybe they are larger than what I had on my previous bike or is it how the RK's are set up?
Also, if I should get smaller grips are these a DIY project that is fairly easy with cruise and everything?
You can replace the grips and use the existing throttle sleeve. Its a pretty easy job, do a search and you wil find a lot of threads on the subject. If you give it some time, chsnces are you probably wont even notice the difference after awhile
If you have big hands,no problem with switchs.Smaller grips might be more comfortable for your hands but will not solve your reach problem to the switchs.
