2012 SG.
Disconnected the plug for the trickle charge;
I turned on ignition, flipped down the Run bottom;
Hit Start.
Nothing. Then the alarm went on.
The lights and radio works.
I called the local dealership and was advised that perhaps the battery in the fob went bad. I rant to the store, bought a new battery and still, the bike won't start. But the alarm keeps coming on.
Before I pay $100 to be towed to the dealership plus whatever fees, what (if anything) can I check.

I rode a week ago and not 1 problem or issue.
Thanks!
Do you have two fobs? Did you try the other one? Will it start if you use your code?
Sorry guys but it didn't work. But now, it's freezing down in the garage. I'll try again tomorrow. I called my dealership and they gave me a code for the bike but that code didn't bypass the fob.
I don't know what happened. I rode last week, no problem. The other day, I was in the garage playing music on my stereo... No problem. Today, all of a sudden, the damn bike wouldn't start and the alarm kept going on. Absolutely nothing previosuly happened to the bike, nor the fobs. I don't know why, out of the blue I'm having this issue.
I can't tell you all how pissed off I am. And, today was 57*. The weather is now dropping and we're expecting snow by Monday. Dam, dam, dam...
