Default Help with bars please...

Can you all please give me options?

I am looking at the Crush Tube Apes because of the sweeping arc that would fit well with my size. I have a 2012 Road Glide and really feel this style will resolve my leaning forward problem.

My issue is I don't want to spend $500 dollars.

Can you all please point me in the direction of a bar wroth the same style but not as much?

Thanks in advance.

I just bought 2+2 Sweepers last week and it was the best mod I've ever done on my bike. It's a 09 Ultra. I started having pain in my shoulder blades on long rides. These put me completely back into my back rest and now it's so comfortable I can ride with no discomfort.
Only thing I had to change was a +6 clutch cable to route it in same place.

Bars for the batwing fairing may not fit the roadglide fairing and vice versa.

Have you tried adjusting your current bars? I realise they ain't the shape you ask about, but they can be moved, which may make them more comfortable.

Actually I did adjust them. I currently have 10 money bars. I adjusted them back towards me. To get them back close enough to me I had to pull them back to much. They didn't even look like apes them. To fix this I need taller (now looking at 14 inch) and bars with that "arc or sweep" backwards towards me. This should allow me to pull them back enough for comfort and still keep the high enough as well as the same angle as my front end.

I just went from sweepers to wild1 chubby's and they are awesome. Plus the quaility is tons better than the sweepers.

I have a 2012 Road Glide as well. I am short (5'7"), and have short arms. I too pulled my stock bars back to the degree that they were pulled back as far as possible without compromising wrist angle, and after nearly two years decided that they just weren't comfortable for long rides.

I went with BR's Custom Bars: http://www.brcustomcycles.com/Bagger_Bars_FRB6.php

The specific bar that did the trick for me was the 1.5" New Wave HD Bars, and I could not be more happy. No more leaning forward, and my hands are not above the fairing to the degree that they're no longer protected by the fairing. I love them. I bought them raw and had them powder coated gloss black, and they're so close to Vivid Black that I don't even notice the difference in color.

As good as the bars are, the customer service from Tracy and from Bill matches the quality of their product. They're a class organization; they value their customers as much as they do their reputation. AND.....if American made means anything to you, that's what you'll get from them. They may not be the cheapest, but they'll be made specifically to fit you, thus you will no longer need to "try out a bar". You may be money ahead when it's all said and done.

You have a lot of good choices to pick from, but BR's Custom Bars will be my choice for any bike in my garage that needs something different than OEM. Feel free to PM me if you'd like to see a picture, and I'll do my best to upload one or two. No promises, as I am not a techie! I'll try though if you need to see an example.

Good luck in your search for the comfortable set of bars.
