No, not for leaking and hurling you out into oncoming traffic... something much more serious, rubbing on the gas tank!
I found a dull area on the tank of my 2 week old Limited Low, figured it must have been done at the dealer or the factory. I guess in a way it was. Look at this pic, & see how the hose is turned inward towards the tank...
When you park the bike & lock the bars it rubs on the tank.
I loosened it & turned it a bit outward...
Wonder how many ticking paint time bombs my dealer has sent out that way.
Have any issues with leaks when you loosened it to move it? I need to do the same thing on mine!!
No issues... you just crack it enough to move. There's nothing forcing any air into the system, but as said... a drop of fluid may come out.

why in the Hell would harley let this out the damn door on a high dollar bike like this ? **** poor inspectoin of their product is the reason. the last two new bikes i bought had more loose stuff on them than you could count. misaligned fairings and lights, loose seat strap. loose exhaust clamp and shifter. my god ! doesn't anyone look to see what the hell they are sending out ? then they wonder why their market share is down.
I pointed out to my local dealer that every Low model on the floor was the same way, he said they would be sure to correct it & probably notify the MOCO. Went back months later & they're all still that way.
This, along with the front spark plug cable issue. Washed my '16 Limited today, and while drying, I reached up under the tank to feel the cable, thinking they must have done something about it by now.
Nope.
Can feel it right where it touches the tank and the little grove in the cable it's starting to make. Guess I know another job I'll be doing once I pull the tank to do the Rock Out install.

Give'em hell Hard!!
And no, I don't think they give a **** about anything except profit margin and getting bikes out the door regardless of common sense quality oversight.
Just goes to show, check EVERYTHING on your new bike when you get it home and stay connected to **** that others find wrong here on this forum.
