I had a 2011 Road King and loved it!!! So much so, I wore out the tires, brakes, and wheel bearings. So...... I traded it for a 2014 Road King!!! I like it even more!
I did the exact same thing also the same color, and there is a reason they call them Road Kings, because they are! I love them but for two up go with the new 103 High Output and ABS brakes well worth the money in my opinion.I may be old school but Harley speedometers are supposed to be on the tank.
If memory serves me, I believe the only functional difference between the '14 and '15 is the addition of a hydraulic clutch....I had a similar experience with my local dealer in that I bought mine late in the year and they didn't have what I wanted in stock. They did find one and all is good....enjoy and ride safe.
I do not want to offend you but are you certain the 15's went to hydraulic clutch? That may make me look at trading in my 14 I would like not having to adjust the clutch.

I don't want to offend you, but for half the money you lose on that deal I'll adjust the clutch on your '14 twice a year until it falls apart.
I just traded my 2012 Heritage this week for a 2015 Road King. Loved the Heritage. I am 6 foot tall and my legs on the Road King are definitely higher up. I am wondering how comfortable it will be for the long haul.

I hear you, I should just be happy with what I have, I love everything about it. I adjust my clutch every oil change which is about five times a year. My problem is I am crazy nuts about getting it just right (Undiagnosed OCD) I use a torque wrench with a spark plug socket and a crows foot wrench this set up would be easy if I just had three hands instead of two.
Looking to trade in my Super on a 2014 or 2015 Road King. Ole Lady is about as tall as me and both in our 50's. Any problems anyone knows of with this model? I'm 6'0" about 200 lbs and she's 5'9" about 175. Thanks in advance for any input.
went from FXDC to 2010 Electra Glide to 2012 FLHTK to 2014 FLHTK never looked back. I am right at your size wife is a little smaller but plenty of room and comfort.

Do yourself a favor and try a different seat I am not a fan of the stock seat it looks like it should be comfortable but no. I switched to a HD Rallyrunner seat and to look at it you think"No way is that comfortable" But me and passenger love it and it moves me back so your gentleman parts are not crushed against the tank and the foam is much denser. A good dealer will let you try one. Here is the part# / Part Number 51527-09A Better looking than stock seat as well in my opinion.
The first thing I did to my 07 Road King Custom was a quick detach backrest & rack
for your Wife. The sissy bar & rack also was great to hold a T-Bag for solo traveling.
Your wife's comfort should be a high priority, so a re-curved Long Rides Shield may
be a good option for you.
Find a dealer to rent one from for a day or a weekend. Take a nice long ride with and without your wife to see how you like it. That will also give you some ideas on changing seats, adding a backrest and whatever else might be needed for comfort. It may cost some money to rent, but its well spent when you look at the price of the new ride and the amount of time you may be keeping the bike. Just a thought....
I just traded my 2013 FXDC in for a 2015 SGS. Really liked the Dyna, but for two-up comfort there's just no comparison. I'm 6', 200 lbs as well and it took me a while to get used to the riding posture, but really like it now. I still may move the footboards forward though.
