i bought these boots looking for something i could wear to work or on the bike. i wanted something that had more of a notch in the middle where my heel would hug the highway pegs better. for those who havent tried either or havent had composite toe, the compsite toe is way better! there is a significant difference in temperature with both heat and cold. composite stays warmer when its cold and doesnt get as hot when its hot. logger boots take a bit of getting used to with the heel. after a bout a week these boots were broke in and i didnt notice the heel at all. if you do get some good leather boots like these i would recommend trying to putting on damp socks with the boots and wear them around the house. not wet but DAMP. your not trying to soak them but just enough to soften the leather. this cut the breakin time in half. these boots are waterproof which is a nice bonus. and for us short guys they give ya a little more reach to the ground. im pretty picky about stuff but i would recommend these to anyone whos considering them. they fit just like my other boots the same size. i did add a thin insole under the factory sole just for a little more cushion.
I have the same ones except the don't zip down the inside. Probably the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I'm not short so having a high sole doesn't make a difference to me fortunately.
