HD's handheld microphone can be used with the voice commands and a synced cellphone to make phone calls. I thought that was the case but it's been a while since I tried it. I just confirmed it by making a phone call from the bike using the HD handheld mic and leaving a message on my home phone. I think the handheld mic also works for the intercom. The problem with the handheld mic is with the CB. The transmit on the 14 & up CB requires that you press the PTT button. Anytime the HD handheld mic is used you still have to press the button on the side of the mic. I have not tried answering a call but as I said I can dial & leave voice messages using the HD handheld mic. Hope this helps.
