I have used lowering blocks on my bikes for years(started using them 20+ years ago) and have never had any issues at all. Currently they are being used on my 2004 Ultra Classic and have been on there for over 5 years. Probably have 20k miles on them. Not only that, we(my wife and I) have rode it down to Tennessee 2 or 3 times and rode the Tail of the Dragon 2 up on it. I have never notice any stability issues with any of the lowering kits I have used and I ride my bikes hard. I have been road racing motorcycles for years and know what its like to have a bike get loose under you or a bike that is having suspension issues. As long as you are using a good brand manufacturer, you should be fine using them. Also.....I have never had any rubbing issues.

Reason: A PIC
Primary piston is shortened and bump rubber is trimmed, then fluid is changed from 5wt to 7 wt. It means disassembly, remachining etc. Adding a spacer under the snap ring really isn't the right way to shorten a shock. It's the primary piston that needs to be modified.
