I put the kit on over the weekend and did not like the rubber boot up against the bolt that goes through the kit to the swing arm so i pulled it off.

Well..
Same problem here...I looked around a lot. For the money the Progressive 944's did wonders for me, both in height and ride quality.

The 944s are 13". Isn't that what the stock Streetglide has? I have a Streetglide.

I've used them off and on through out the years with no issues, they do change the feel of the shocks some IMHO.

That's right. Thanks. So those won't help.

Burly has some lowering blocks that work good , no rubbing saddle bags , no bottoming out solo or two up. I ran these on my 2014 with SG shocks.

Progressive 412-4074 is an 11.5" shock. E-bay for $208 in black.
