What can I do to it to get it to preform better wit miner details

 

Need a bit more detail. Is it stock? What does "perform better" mean to you? What is your budget? Generally speaking, the first performance upgrades are a free flow air intake, better flowing mufflers, and a tuner module. Depending on the selection of components, you can expect to pay close to $1000. When you hear the term Stage 1 it means the mods listed here. Next would be a cam swap, then a big bore kit. There's a good chance you have one or more of these parts already. Pull the side cover and see if there's a device plugged into the ECM.

 

Minor details won't give you much extra performance, but new cams and a big bore cylinder kit can really light up your bike.

Easiest is buy a 2015. You'll be happy.

 

After the stage 1 as noted above, look into replacing the rear suspension with some Ohlins and change the fork oil to slightly heavier. It will feel like a different bike.

 

I had an '05 with Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner, Stage 1 Download, V&H True Duals, Supertrapp SE II mufflers, and Andrews 21G Gear Drive cams.

By far, the most improvement in performance was gained with the cams.
