Problems with my alarm
On 2 occassions, I had my bike with the dealer because the alarm system didnt recognize the fobs and keeps going off. In order to start the bike, I have to bypass the alarm system by putting in the code, via the turn signals. And, I twice changed the battery.
Today, I picked up the bike back from the dealer. In front of me, the service manager had a mechanic tide the bike, stop it and start it. All was good..
After leaving the dealer, I stopped for gas and even stopped at the liquor store. No problem. I got to my house, turned off the bike and opened the garage. Got back on the bike and rode into the garage. Immediately, as soon as I turned the bike off, the alarm start blaring.
Now, I just remembered that the alarm on my truck is acting up,. to the point where I now use my key to lock and unlock the door. Today, as I rode into the garage, my bike had to pass by my truck and that's when the alarm (on the bike) starting going off.
is it possible that the faulty alarm on my bike is causing a frequency issue with my bike?
Otherwise, I can't think of any other reasons why this is happening.
pretty well known that ez pay at mobil can be a problem as can the presence of other alarm systems ( my Pals alarm started chirping when we were riding at 70 mph side by each).
could even be RF junk from a digital amp or led/ HID ballast
stuff like this is situational- often cured by pushing the bike away from the pumps other bikes/fobs.
I think you have something going on at home, it could be your truck, it could your utility meters ( my water, gas and power meters are all RF now...the microwave, the cordless phones etc etc)

All replies so far could be the culprit, you need to try and make one change at a time (to whatever object you pick) and then if it doesn't change, replace it and change something else. I suggest this, because it doesn't really do a lot of good to change 4 or 5 things and then you don't know what made the difference.
