Started to ride today and tried to put the bike in first gear and the shifter acted like it stripped something inside the bike. I couldn't find neutral anymore. Has anyone had any trouble like this. this is a 2014 ultra limited.
Maybe try slipping the clutch as you walk it forward to get the gears to line up or the clutch master cylinder needs to be rebuilt or bled. Think clutch recall.
My 14 SGS has an occasional dead spot that will do what youre describing. Let the clutch out a little & the trans should find its place.
Also, with the bike off... grab the trans shift lever & try to move it back & forth to check engagement. These levers are prone to stripping out. My 14 is ok but my 07 stripped two before I had the dealer (warranty) put in a forged steel unit.
