5.11 ATAC 8 inch boots. With a Side zipper.
They provide great support and I can walk 5 miles in them if I want.

I've been wearing DURANGO Oiled Stirrup Boots for years.....love them and reasonable price. ($166 list but deals can be found) Thick soles and good heels for comfortable flat footing.
