I have had many different boots, but the pair I recently bought are awesome. I'm not sure it is the boot, but more so the fit.
I went to a shoe store that had a salesperson that really her her stuff. I ended up going with Carolina logger boots with the gortex lining.
Most places these days ask you your size and give you a pair to try on. This experience reminded me of years ago when I was a kid. This girl wouldn't get me anything until she did measurements. And she knew what boots were sized to fit. She knew that one brand I would need 1/2 size in an another that would be a whole size. But the biggest thing was the width, they only carried brands that offered a variety of different widths, which I think is the reason these fit so well. Not too floppy, not too skinny.
Check out Thorogood boots. I have 3 pairs and love all 3. I have the slip ons, classics, and loggers. The classics are the only ones not steel toe. I also own 3 pairs of Double H boots that are very good too. All of these boots are USA made!
OK guys, riding season has arrived and I am in the market for some new boots. I need boots that not only fit the bill for riding, but boots you can also walk around in after you get to your destination. Let me know what you like and if you know of a good place to order boots include that as well. Thanks for any suggestions
Alpinestars Gore-Tex at Revzilla. On closeout right now. Great price.
Go try on a pair of the Danner Tactical series boots. Easy-on/off and no break-in required. Feels like wearing tennis shoes but with plenty of support and protection.
