Swapping frames....question....
My question is...if I were to get a '09 and up RK frame...could I move the rest of my bike over.....basically move (swap) my whole bike to a new frame.
Why? I believe the rake and rear wheel would be different and it would guve me different options.
I will have the bike totally apart for re-painting and while I was at that stage swap the frame.
Thanks....
You. Get...wider swingarm, ability to run 17 x 4.5 rear wheel, 170 rear tire.
Since you are doing a re-spray get the rear fender in primer ($250) and SE swingarm in black ($650), SE axle $89, run any HD 17 x 4.5 rear wheel, and SE 07 rear. Axle spacers
For about a grand, you get wide tire, better handling and keep same bike.
You will be amazed at the ride.
Oh, and its a direct bolt on, no fab needed

This I can do.....thank you....love the forum even though some questions seem weird....but they need to be asked so tha an informed decission can be made.
Thank you all.....and yes I love my '05 RK. (15 more years and it will be a classic) do the have that designation for bikes or do they just call them museum pieces?
If you really, really want "the new frame", sell or trade up to a newer bike.
