Bought a vivid black aftermarket King Tour pack with turn/run/brake lights from Mutazu with HDForum member discount, a used 4 pt quick disconnect mount for my '07 locally, plug in light harness from Ebay and Deustch all-weather connectors from my local wiring guy. An hour later it was mounted and wired in for turn/run/brake lights. In less than 2 minutes I can either install it or remove it and replace it with another quick disconnect passenger backrest and the touring seat with a Street Glide seat for around town riding. One of the best mods I've done to date. Very sturdy and have loaded it with a ton of gear and the top rack even holds ~10 lbs of gear rolled up in a roll-style pack. HTH.
It comes with relocation parts for the turn signals, FM/AM/WB antenna and license plate. If your TourPak also has a CB antenna then you will need to buy a separate relocation kit for that.
These both are for my bike of course so yours may be different. I had the dealer install the conversion kit as part of the deal when I bought the bike so I can't speak to the installation process but it appears like it would not be very difficult. If you get the quick detach kit, make sure you also get the locking latches so no one walks off with your TourPak. It only take 30 seconds to get that thing off so someone could steal it pretty easily if you don't have the locking latches. They aren't the most secure locks but it provides some level of deterrence and is better than nothing.
I like being able to pop the TourPak off and throw on a sissybar back rest for the wife whenever I don't want or need the extra storage. It's very simple and easy to use.
Hope this helps a little.

Does anyone have a quick release tour pack for your Ultra? Was it hard to set up? Wire harness etc... Where did you purchase it? Gracias!
What year Ultra? It's uber easy on the Rushmore models. A little more involved in older models. But really not much to it. You can purchase the complete kit from HD or you can do it piece by piece and go for your own look like I did. I didn't care for the HD kits turn signal or license plate relocation. Your dealer can help you with parts or get the part numbers and order online at Kutters or another HD dealer that discounts online orders. Kutters discounts 20% and free ship over $99.
I have a 2009 street Glide, with a detach tour pak, now I'm putting a 2014 Tour pak together, I'm going to buy another detachable frame only for the 2014, and have to drill different holes to get the detach to work on the 2014.
