Put on a new Reckless fairing this winter on my 2002 Road King. It sits ridiculously high. Like 2" of space around the headlight. There was an old thread on here where someone redrilled their brackets. I cannot find the thread. Has anyone done this to lower their fairing. Would love to see a pic of the drilled brackets.

You must have received the wrong brackets. Call Alex and get that figured out. Mine sits close. I did grind the upper bracket holes to allow it to lean back slightly more than stock and added a LRS windshield.
I have an Ebay clone of the Reckless and i had to redrill the brackets also. I don't have a pic but it was fairly easy to do i had to bring it down a bit and back more. Good luck.

They are the brackets that came attached to the fairing. Is Alex on here?
As others have said, call Alex at Reckless. Their shop is local to me and they are extremely helpful and easy to deal with. It sounds like you may have the wrong bracket. Call or email them and send them that picture. I'm sure they will take care of it.
Here's one of their fairings on my old Nomad. I went to their shop, bought an unfinished fairing, and painted and wired it myself. They are good people.

I searched past threads and see that it is very common that these sit too high. I did as one person suggested and moved the brackets 3/4" on the fairing. It sits perfectly around the headlight now.
