I have about 8k on my bike and just started getting a squeak coming from my rear tire around 20mph and less. Anyone have any ideas on this? I've taken the saddlebags off and I can't see anything obvious. Could this be part of the SB for the rotors?
Not sure, could be. How do you tell? The funny thing is it happens below 20 and then goes away just before I come to a stop. Also it doesn't happen when I first ride the bike, but after I've been riding for about 20 minutes or so and have used the rear brakes. Sounds to me like something to do with the rear brakes.
I'd check allignment of back wheel...my Bob has this problem as the axle will move even when nut is tight...
Next...checkcaliper spacing..that should be ok though...might me stuck to one side...
If the disc ever touches the caliper...it makes a loud squeek...!Good luck...
