I have an 05 Ultra also. I have been thinking about having cams installed or the 95" kit. Don't have money to do both right now. Leaning toward cams. Like you, I want a little "go" when I go to pass or open it up a little.
I would suggest that you call a few places like R&R, GMR, HQ and others and talk to them about what you want done. They will get into a lot of detail and making the bike louder will be a small issue. I've talked toR&R,GMR and HQand they are more than willing to spend time with you on the phone. Be prepared to tell them what you want and write down what they say.
