I was in my cage today when what looked like an undernourished Harley rolled past. I looked and looked and finally realized what I was looking at - a Road King (I think it was a King) with the saddle bags off. Couldn't decide whether I liked the look or not. Any of you all ever ride a bagger without the bags? Of course, his bags my have been stolen, I didn't ask.
Hack [sm=goodidea.gif] [sm=forgetit.gif] What will it be?
I occasionally cruise around town on mine without the bags and windshield, but my bike is black. As in, all the chrome fender brackets for the bags, etc, are blacked outso it actually looks okay.
I occasionally ride my King w/out bags if it's raining before I leavefrom home/work or work/home.Those leather bags look like sh#t when they get wet and I am so afraid those wrinkles will stay forever.
The bike does look wierd with the brackets and nothing on them.
I have a black Cherry Classic. I hope it will look as good a wesd41's Roadking. I love the black look.. Did you buy everything black or did you have it powdercoated
Had everything powdercoated. Most of the stuff (the fork lowers and cowbells, all the engine covers, the dash, handlebars, wheels) I got off ebay real cheap, had it powder coated, made the swap, then sold the original stuff back on ebay.
