Trying to decide between Vance and Hines 4" Twin Slash Rounds and Rine heart 4" Chrome Slip-ons. The V&H are $200 cheaper, and listening to sound bites online might be a bit deeper in tone(which I want), but they seem louder also.
Any thoughts on this.
V&H $594 tx in. Rineharts $750-$1000
I am installing on a 2008 Ultra with stock air and exhaust. I have a set of B&E Performance on now. So I assume I can install another slip-on without having to change anything, i.e.( mapping, power commander, air).
I know sound is a personal thing but any advice would be great.

I've had the twin slash, they sound good, went to the 4" rinehart's they sounded better "deeper" IMO, then went to CFR's, deeper yet, I like them the best. YMMV.
Too many variables to judge what an exhaust really sounds like on the Net. Go hit a bike-night or two and see what people are running.
No remapping will be needed.
4" Rineharts will sound deeper than V&H twin slash rounds
V&H twin slash rounds will be louder than 4" Rineharts
Both are high quality products.
As slip ons only, you won't see much if any performance difference between the two. As you add more engine modifications such as a big bore, cams, heads the 4" Rineharts will perform better than the V&H twin slash rounds.
