I bought a 09 Street Glide an just unloaded it this morning. It started an ideal fine. Took it for a ride around the subdavision an it started to miss an wanted to quit. I went an bought new plugs an changed them. Started it an it ran fine around the subdavision. Went out on the road an it started missing an felt like it was running on one cylinder after about a half mile. I got it back home an checked all connections an everything looks fine. If anyone has any idea please let me know.
Did the check engine light come on. Did you check for codes. Try cleaning electrical connection behind air cleaner and use dielectric grease when putting back together
Bought from dealer or private owner? First thing to do-if dealer call them back.
First thing to check is remove seat and check battery terminals-remove and clean, and re-tighten them. Then remove saddle bags and side cover and check electrical connections for corrosion or water.
Sorry no codes showing. Bought from a dealer but not a Harley dealer. Its a stock 96 motor. I will check the plug behind the air filter, an the batter termanals. It has sat for several months.
It had around a 1/4 of tank in it. I filled it all the way up with fresh. I did talk to the dealer an they said they would make it right. I just have to get it in to the shop around here. I hope the people I bought it from does make it right. I was just hoping it was a simple fix. I just bought it an had to wait two weeks for it to be delivered. Now I still can't ride it.
