Default progressive 970

The verdict is out I put a pair of progressive 970 with remote reservoirs on my 2007 FLHX replacing the progressive 940's. All I'm going to say is sweet, these things perform and ride amazingly and the ability to dial in and tune the shock due to road conditions weigh and riding style are are simple and straight forward.
I feel for my riding style which is very aggressive they are perfect I also like the fact that they come with a lifetime warranty which is a nice incentive justifying its higher cost over comparable shocks with less convenience features.

How much more are they than the 944's?

Did you mount the reservoirs on the crash bars or some where else?

I mounted them on the rear crash bars like they tell you it makes it easy to fine tune as you're riding its in a very easy and accessible spot great design.

Cool, thanks for the info. I am leaning towards these shocks over the Ohlins due to the fact I don't want to rebuild the Ohlins every so often. I just want to get the reservoir tucked up out of the way and hidden. Once the shocks are dialed in, how often do you really need to adjust them at that point?

Rebuildable shocks are a plus , anything with oil in it needs to be rebuilt or replaced over time, moving parts create contamination , plus heat thins the oil over time , this will effect the ride quality , if you don't rebuild them you will need to replace them

I was going to get Ohlins I did my research and came to the conclusion that almost every year I would have to rebuild them at a couple + hundred bucks the 970's have a lifetime warranty and I have dealt with Progressive Suspension before and they have excellent customer service.
DIBE you don't have to worry about them getting in the way at all they are tucked up and if you had to make a quick change because the road is bumpier than usual just turn the dial a couple clicks cc then when you're back on the road and you want a little sportier feel dial them back cw, plus I like the look they look cool everybody compliments them.
