Default RK Lower Fairing Speakers

Looking to add tunes and was thinking lower fairings and 6.5 speakers on my RKC.

Question is.......Do they give loud & good clear & crisp sound being in the lowers...city and highway?

Any recommendations on brand?

Seen several Cadence, Poke, Pioneer, Pyle, Boss, Kenwood 2-way 150-400 watt Marine for $50-$60 pair on Ebay.

I have Kenwood stereo and speakers in my Jeep and they rock good enough for a ole-timer like myself.

There's no clear answer because only you can decide what's acceptable. The price range you're looking at is the very low end, and I'd check to see what wattage ratings are offered. I have lowers with Kappa 62.11's and they sound great, but they are amped. What source of audio? Radio? iPod? Since you're on a King where are you going to put it?

If you put good speakers in with a decent amplifier, it'll sound great. Problem is, trying to find a place to hide the amp and where/what the input will be.

Allot of folks install 6.5s in the pods and wire them to a tiny amp either under the seat or in a windshield bag, and then have a 3.5mm input cable to connect to their phone. Hunt around on the audio forum here and someone well be able to give you a solid breakdown of what you need and how to install them

I have the Harley speakers and setup. They sound great and are loud. I also went for the speakers in the bags too

I have a set of Hog Wired CX504-70's that go in the glove box location I'd sell for $75 shipped.

Good question but I was thinking this cuz I like the remotes but not crazy about mounting on bars so open to suggestions.........http://www.cyclesounds.com/rock-box-...rce-wired.html

Just do the J&M handlebar mounted speakers. They are self amplified. I have them on my 06' RKC. They have been on my bike for over 50K and 7years without a hiccup.

I had a 2013 CVO Road King. The only year that came with speakers in the lowers and deck lids. It rocked pretty well. Harley had the amp in the bag mounted in a pouch. Sinch it was a factory install it had the controls on the bars. You basically plugged in your Ipod in the saddle bag then controlled volume on the bars. I think you will have to figure something out in that regard.
