I'll be doing updates and posting pics as progress goes along. I'm taking a 03 electra glide and Turing it into a custom bagger.
Parts that came in and some that are on
Samson pipes, quick detach hardware, side kick seat, sissy bar, chrome lower legs, 3" black windshield. Sg turn lamps.
I've removed the tour pak and it will be on a quick detach. Same with sissy bar. Removed light bar. Slammed it 3 inches.
Parts coming in this week are 23" Rc chrome wheel, Pikard trees, Arlen ness wrap front fender "carbon", single shaved forks, matching chrome rotor, chrome caliper. I'm sure I'm missing something on the stuff coming this week. After front end is complete im doing bad dad comp series bags and fender. Then to paint shop. I'll keep anyone who's interested posted. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I'll be posting pics as it goes. To start I'll show what I started with. Thx all and very excited!!
Ps, if this needs to be in a different thread I will move. Thx
I picked up an 05 electra glide, I'll be following this an maybe lifting a few ideas from it. I want to clean up mine, get rid of the bag guards, clean up the tail/turn lights, maybe a 21" front with a wrap fender, but def get rid of the "bumper" fender.
I love seeing the customization and transformation of bikes. We went to Daytona Bike week and saw some amazing work on bikes at the bagger contest at Bruce Rossmeyer. Looking forward to seeing more of your pics
Here are a couple of shots of my '02 FLHT, all bore 107" motor worked over (122TQ/110HP) with what I call "stock custom" modifications. I am not into radical changes but prefer the suttle changes that upgrade/update an older model and make it just different enough that most can't tell what year or model it is at first glance. Not much left to do now but I will black powder coat the engine guards, replace the OEM bars with some black ones that are up and back a bit, fit a 6 gallon tank and remote mounted oil filter to finish up the look. I am much more into performance modifications than lots of chrome, big fat tires, stereos, custom bags, etc.
