I'm about to drill & cut my touring pack for brake lights, unless someone has a better option that can be mounted & don't brake the bank. I seen on another thread here where a member put the kinda oval trailer lights in his saddle bags. Thought it looked pretty good but just holding off on this has it seams harsh to put those big holes in the pack. Already have LED picked up & cheap pulsator on way. Want something as have been rear ended at stop sign before. Everything on eBay looks cheesy that I could see. My tour pack only has the side markers. Plan is to make lights be brake & running up high so cagers can see it.
Yes one small hole to run the wires through the TP. I have mine wired as a run/brake right into the side marker plug. I just tapped into the side maker lights for the run and ground, then put a pin on the red wire from the rear light I added and put it in the empty spot in the side marker lights plug. Super easy to do. What kind of bike do you have?
There is no flex to the light bar AT ALL. So if there is any curve to the back of the TP where it will be mounted go with the smaller one. If you have a plug on a harness that runs from the bike that you are plugging the TP side marker lights into there is a brake light wire in that plug. The plug that comes from the side makers is a 3 pin plug with only 2 pins/wires in it. You will just need to put a pin on the red wire coming from the light you add and then it will light up with the brakes. Once you look at it all, you'll see what I'm talking about.
I might have put the info in my Tour Pak tread, let me check and if I did I'll give you the link.
I like the screamin' eagle tail light look. I believe these stick on the outside and just need holes for the wire. More costly than the other one. Just another option. Heres the link: http://www.mutazu.com/products.php?c...383&s=prod.php

Yes awesome & that should of came on all tour packs or something like it. Not sure if that would fit mine, it says my year but king. I'm guessing the road king & elactra glide classic the same.

I think all Tour Paks from the correct year are the same physical size. Some just are a ultra that have lights and antennas. Some are for Road Kings and Road Glides that just have side Markers. What year of bike and type of Your Pak do you have?
I saw the same lites on ebay for 20 bucks cheaper.
