so, today i was on the way to a nearby harley stealers on my 2013 Limited.....all of a sudden my engine light came on and the battery indicator light came on also. i looked up at the volt meter and it was left of center at about 10 to 11 volts, no where near where its supposed to be. I turn around and head for home rather than be stuck with it with a low battery someplace ( i bought a new one about 2 months ago). I'm about 8 miles away so turn around and head back. about a mile away from home i take a 90 degree right turn and it all goes away. engine light gone....battery light gone....voltage guage...normal. when i got home, i pulled the seat and checked the connections. all were good. took it back out and went to the stealers without a problem. just got back after a 80 miles and it did not duplicate the instance again.
any thoughts...........besides gremlins?
Year ... Model ... Sometimes the plug connected through the inner primary to the stator will come loose ... there is a "fix" for it small bracket that keeps it connected

The Gremlin bell work better if someone gives it to you.
yeah, i know. thats why i havent bought one yet. when i bought my 2010, the dealer gave me one. the gentlemen that went over the features of the bike pulled it out of his pocket, explained the purpose/tradition of the gremlin bell put it on. nice gesture for little cost. sharing a little biking folklore.
