Hello everyone.. love reading these posts.. Have close to 100k miles over the past 5 years on multiple Harleys and I can tell you that whatever you ride, if it was made from lots of parts your bound to have something go wrong with it at some point.
Love each and every scoot I have ever ridden regardless of problems.. that being said, I have a 2014 flhtk with 20k miles so far and am noticing a weird sound from time to time from I believe the front wheel. (whine ) I think I read above about wheel bearings. Any info on that??
Miles,
You probably know this but I would check the tire before condemning the wheel bearings.Every time I start to get a bunch of miles on a front tire I get a whine.
Bit of a cup in the tire. No sound while upright but lean into a little bit of a corner and it starts to whine. I usually replace front tire before the tread is gone.
Thank you Mark.. I took a look earlier today and the front is starting to show some wear. 11k slight cup and tread is getting light.
I was planning on changing at Sturgis in a few weeks. May have to get it done before the trip out.
