Has anyone tried to use the detachable docking and accessories on a police bike with the top support bracket that the police tour pak mounts to? I put on the docking points and other than some work to make the chrome license plate mount with auxiliary taillights fit with the rear mount it all seems to fit ok. But when I try to put the backrest or the luggage rack on, it seem the top bracket is just a hair too wide, spreading out the brackets on the backrest keeping them from lining up right on the docking points.
I had built a mount for my king tour pak that gave me adjustability and the clearance for the police saddlebags, and it is built to work on the top support tube, so I would like to keep the top bracket on the bike if possible.
I am not wanting to use the detachable tour pak mounts and I can see that would be a problem, but what I was wanting to do was be able to use the detachable backrest when the wife wants to go for a ride.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
