vent hoses. To what?
On the right (rear brake) side of my Glide, there is what appears to be a vent hose hanging down - just forward of the rear tire. I always assumed this was the fuel tank overflow line. Then today, I pull the left side plastic cover (over the fuses) and I find another vent hose behind that. Can someone clarify for me which vent hose goes to what?
thanks!
thanks!
There hasnt been one for the battery since '99. The hard plactic hose on the left is the fuel tank vapor vent, its attached to the little charchol canister to the front left of the battery. The one on the right is for the fuel filler overflow.Hope this helps.

One on left is fuel tank vapor vent. Remove seat, look at left bottom of tank
on frame in front of battery box. you will see a small black vapor canister.
Vent tube is hard plastic.
Other tube is the fuel tank overflow. drains fuel out of the fuel tank cap well
area if you get sloppy. this is soft rubber like vacuum tubing
New batteries are sealed maintenance free and don't necessarily have a vent hose
attached.

Yep, but it doesn't normally hang down.
from left side of bike look in behind the shift lever on
the tranny end.
A small formed rubber hose. goes more or less straight up about an inch
then forms upside down U and goes back down about 1/2 inch.
