Hard Pull Stock Clutch

Strange

New Stock Clutch with 500 miles
- Heavy Duty Stock Clutch Spring-37951-98

New Cable

HOLLY CRAP -

Feels like my 1980 Maico 490 with a Barnett heavy duty

What could have gone wrong ?

cable kinked? gentle arc to the trap door?

lube the cable?

Check the cable routing. Mine did the same thing when I was swapping bars and cables. I had to move the cable around to get it going.

Did you do the ramp and ***** test prior to final adjustment? This sets the ***** in the release ramp under the trans cover on the right hand side.

You say you installed heavy duty stock clutch springs.If they have more tension than what came from the factory,you have answered your own question.

The stiffer spring also results in a stiffer clutch pull.

I can't speak from personal experience to this product and not sure how it would affect your spring but it may help out the kung fu grip?
