Default Detachable Tour Pack lock

I have a question.
I just bought a detachable tour pack for my '14 SG. Other than the locking latches, which seem to be difficult to unlatch, pretty pricey and since all you need is the right size allen wrench and they are useless, how else can it be locked down?

Default Brukus

Big ditto on Brukus. Fact is their products work. I have numerous of their products and can't come by a better place to buy from.

I snaked a cable lock through mine and through my Tbag when doing sturgis etc.

make the lock obvious to a bad guy, they'll look for easier pickings.

I use the Brukus also, I think it just gives me a piece of mind when I am away from the bike. Theft proof absolutely not, but it probably will detour the average thief.

Determined thieves, nothing short of a steel bunker will work. But opportunistic lowlifes, I use a flexible wiretire wrapped around the post where the plunger goes in, same place where you use the Bruckus. My Bruckus are aluminum so they stretch and get loose. Looks like now they are stainless steel. That probably works better as the aluminum was too soft.

I figure a Bruckus or the wiretie will dissuade any common thieves and they mostly focus on saddlebags anyway, so changing to uclips and bolts makes sense as well.

The double wrapped wire tie works well, as it requires a fine pair of nippers or someone to saw the tie with a knife to remove it, ackward to do even at home and enough to slow the grab and go thief.
