Default PV-1 Install Question

Am getting ready to order a PV-1 from Fuelmoto and have three questions for those of you that have installed this previously.

1. Is the cable on the PV-1 long enough to allow for a right handlebar installation. I have my GPS installed on the dash and a left side install would block the GPS.
2. What is the size of the standard narrow band O2 sensors? Am considering also getting the Auto tune kit but can't figure out if the new sensors will fit my Rush True Dual header.
3. Do you have to worry about someone stealing the PV off of the handlebars?

Thanks.
Shaun

If you're putting it on the 08 in your signature then you should be fine. The 08 has 18mm O2 sensors and they should be located up near the heads not by the tranny. The Auto tune Pro uses 18 MM O2 sensors so no mod needed. Try the PV1 with the basic Auto tune before you spend the extra on the Pro, you may be satisfied like we are. The cable is long enough to go to the right bar and Yes I'd worry about it getting ripped off. When I travel I'll take it off and lock it in the tour Pak. Lots of good Tutorial videos on the DynoJet website: http://www.dynojet.com/Powervision/p...on-videos.aspx
Good Luck

Vernal thanks for the answers. Good idea about the autotune. I'm not trying to get every last bit of HP or tongue. Just want to enjoy the ride without damaging the engine.

Is the plug easy to remove and put back onto the unit on the handlebar mount?

The auto tune module is in no way required to enjoy your ride without damaging the engine.

Life is good. Plug in, load program and ride. Your done. If you choose to auto tune, it's up to you. Just not necessary. I have not auto tuned since I installed. Have a cam install next week so I'll probably play with it a little.

I hope you saw the post by Skratch, I said 12mm O2 sensors and they are 18mm. They went to 12mm in 2010 I believe and moved them down next to the transmission.

The PV2 just clips into the holder so you would remove it from the holder, turn it over and press the release on the plug in and pull back. I took a picture of the unit and cable and put a little yellow paint on where you push down to release it. I bought mine used and it came with the cable attached, it took me a while to catch on how it worked.

Good Luck
Oh in case you're wondering, my wife's bike is silver, my PV says Grey
If I can get 12 and 18 mixed up think how easy it is to get identical PV's confused.
