My 2012 Ultra started doing something odd this morning. When rolled backward with the engine running, the ABS light comes on and stays on after a short while. When backed up engine and key off, started and run going forward only, no light. The flashing light that goes away after 3 mph works in both instances. Brakes work fine in both conditions. When the light is on is there ABS? Any ideas on a fix will be appreciated.

 

It should flash until you hit 3 MPH either way. Sounds like it works properly.

 

I didn't explain the problem properly. The initial flashing works as it should. Flash briefly, then go out. However, if I start the bike before rolling backwards, the fault light comes on again after a short period. Roll out of a parking spot before turning the key on (just go forward), light flashes, but no fault light afterwards.
