I've never had a bagger and don't know how the oil gauge is removed to replace the bulb. All other lights are fine, but I'd like to see oil pressure at night, thanks in advance. It's an 03 eg classic

Reason: More
clear a spot to put the outer fairing once removed, place tube socks over the spot lights, thick towel over the fender
remove the windscreen screws and windscreen...replace the CENTER screw loosely
remove the 2 inner fairing screws -torx, there are 2 more down low as well- ( see service manual pic in post below)
the outer fairing is now only held by the CENTER screw which you put back in....straddle the fender and work the fairing to break the "seal" of the gasket... then lift the fairing towards you over the spotlights.
reach in and unplug the headlight...and put the fairing aside

Or leave it as is and then you won't be obsessing over oil pressure like I have since I started looking at it this year. I'm convinced no good can come from watching your oil pressure So now I'm going to start watching the voltmeter. Yeah! Good looking bike too!
Thank you guys. I thought that the little clip at the top of the gauge would let me pull it out without taking everything apart. When I get froggy, I'll get at it, too busy riding right now --- lol
When my Road Glide got totaled, I lost the oil pressure gauge (hell I lost the whole fairing!) and when I put the salvage back together I ignored idiot lights and gauges both (except the custom speedo.)
If I ever lose oil pressure, the lifters will start to collapse long before the engine takes a hit and that's a sound that you simply can not miss. Don't sweat that bulb too much.
