No on number 2, it's the stator plug for charging, nothing to do with your crank position sensor code.

Well pulled #1 off and cleaned it. Had a little bit of oil on it but didn't seem that bad. Tightened it all back up, tested it and still the engine light coming on for roughly 10 seconds??

I would clear the code now that you cleaned it and see if it gives you the same code again after riding it.

If it gives you the same code again I would think about replacing the crank sensor.

Maybe a dumb question here but how do I clear the code now? I didn't see anything on the code website that states how to clear them. Maybe I'm missing it

On 2008 and newer I have cleared codes, you clear the display code by pushing in and holding the odometer reset button for longer than 5 seconds until clear comes up, then release the odometer reset button and turn off ignition.

That doesn't work on the OPs '97 with analog odometer.

So after doing the test and then cleaning the part the light still came on. I disconnected my battery for about 2 hours. Everything is back to normal now. I appreciate all the help
