They made it more 'inconvenient" so more people say "Fu*k it, let the dealer do it!" and then charge 2 hrs labour for a 15 min job.

my 85 has never had the steer bearings greased except for the day it was built and it's at 100k. i wouldn't worry about it, but that's just me.

More moolah for the MoCo with the new design.
I prefer grease fittings.
I would like to hear how long it takes the dealer to do this particular service.
To grease mine, it takes about a minute - including "The Swipe".

Who knows what HD's ideas are, hell newer autos have "Lifetime lubed" hubs, we see how that works for them...
