Default Maintenance Question

I am doing my 10,000 maintenance and the check list says i need to lubricate the steering head bearing, i look in my maintenance manual and my lord i need to remove inner ans outer faring

Any easier way on a 14 FLHTUC

This is how I do my '12 Street Glide. Should be the same on the 14 unless Harley relocated the fitting? Are you sure you're not looking at an adjustment procedure?

2014 and newer do not have a grease fitting on the steering head.

You might have a schedule for a different bike?
2015 manual has steering head bearing inspection and lube at 25K.

The 2014-15 steering head has to be taken apart to service , this is done on the 25k service, 13s and older had grease fittings for servicing every 10k miles.

No fitting on mine Unfortunately.

The check list i have 10K my maintenance manual says 25K, Thanks for pointing that out.

Wonder why the increase in maintenance mileage for the 14's and 15's.Did the factory come up with a new type grease that lasts longer or decide lubing steering head bearings wasn't needed at a lower mileage.Anyway,I glad my 2013 has a zerk fitting.

Probably because it's a bigger pain in the *** to do LOL.
