Default 2003 Ultra - Cruise Control

I have a 2003 Ultra Classic that the Cruise Control has stopped working. I have checked to make sure the break lights are off. I have performed the Cable Lash set procedure and it work great. I tried to do the Dropout Diagnostic. When I push to set/resume switch to Set and turn the iginition to on, the green C appears on the speedometer. When I release the switch, the green C disappears and nothing else happens. The only thing I haven't tried is to disconnect the rollover switch. I read in another post that this could be the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

That was the problem. The only thing now is when the cruise control sets, the engine races a small amount and then returns to the correct speed. I'll do the cable lash adjustment again and try to correct this problem. If not I can live with it. Thanks again for your help. This is a great forum and I'm proud to be a part.

I just took a roll-off switch apart. The two wires are separated by a foam rubber disc that, when squeezed will make the two wires connect and shut off the cruise mode. When the foam goes away the two wires, connected to two metal discs, will touch all the time and not let the cruise engage. Disconnect one wire and it will work but you have to hit clutch, or either brake lever to cancel the cruise.
