If you want to take them to court you need to think of one thing. Class action lawsuit is money for the lawyers, not you. If there is a settlement, they will get most of it. Plus, you still can't fix it.
Anyway, I have 14 limited. I like the gps. I did have the lockup problem but put 1.19 on it and no issues since. You might want to verify you have at least that update. Then call the district guy in your area. They probably do want to fix it, show them what is happening.
so you ride from Indiana to NY and the two dealers there won't swap your radio and you cry foul? what about the dealer where you bought it? lawsuit won't fix your radio...

I express no opinion on the merits of the OP's potential suit, but I sure understand his frustration.
In any event, fevest's claims are overbroad and/or untrue. Our nation's system for class action suits is designed to allow numerous, small aggrieved parties actually "have a day in court" against typically monster enterprises with legions of skilled and very well paid lawyers. Class actions in fact work for the "little guys" and unless you are the CEO or board member of mega-corp you should appreciate the benefit the system provides.
I just bought a 2015 cvo road glide ultra. The Navigation locks up constantly, the Bluetooth doesn't work half the time, and the Harley Davidson dealership POI function does not know where 90% of the dealerships actually are. I take it to a couple of dealers, they tell me there is nothing they can do, just call the number in the back of my owners manual and complain to them. They also tell me it is a very common problem. I would like to see how many on here, would join in on a lawsuit against Harley? I paid for a bike that functions, not to fight problems on a bike less than a month old.
You've had the bike a month & are think the infotainment system is the issue. Have you taken time to read the manual? Have you learned how to use the system?
Have you read some of these forums regarding start up procedures that work w/o having issues? The system uses canbus inputs that go to the BCM (body control module) that then interprets those inputs & sends out signals to the infotainment system. That's a computer telling another computer what to do. They need to boot up & establish communications between them in order to work together correctly. The startup of the bike can cause voltage drops. If these occur during the computer boot process, things can lock up (boot procedure aborts or hangs).
Different riders have developed procedures that work for them. You may need to do the same. I have found my system works best w/o issues if I put the ignition switch on the ACC position while gearing up. After accepting the warning message, I select the NAV button. This usually gives me a message that the Nav is not ready, but after that message goes away, the system is fully booted. At that point I turn the ignition switch to the on position, wait for the lights to go out & then start the bike. Most frustrating part of this is the long boot time before the infotainment system is ready for use.
Hey Sierra, Thats the second post I've seen of yours, your posts are just TOO long dude, could you maybe use a few less words to get your point across maybe, just a thought...........

Exactly, why I never sign onto the damn things. I just got one, lawyers, 1,500,000.00. Affected consumers 9500.00. In the trash it goes. My share is not worth the paper it is written on.

Your observation reminded me of Church one time, after the service the Pastor was at the door shaking everyone's hand. An Old Timer walked up to the Pastor, Preacher asked "Howd ya like the sermon?" The old timer, not missing a beat, replied "Your message needed to be shorter on both ends, with more FIRE in the middle".
If you would'a bought a $5 Atlas and a $2 compass you could've saved yourself about 15K on a motorcycle!
Lol.....
OP good luck on getting the issues rectified. I have my fair share of issues with the Infotainment system on mine, mostly navigation, but truthfully I wont darken the doorstep of the dealers until it goes completely dead. I've found that WE/Forum (collectively) know more than all of the techs combined. Until then I research the hell out of ANY issue I have and have pretty much always found an answer/solution to whatever issue I have. This is just my opinion and experiences. Good luck
