Ok I know beat a dead horse. I have searched a read old threads for 2 days now on here. An narrowed it down to these two. I'm getting ready to replace my Vance an Hines mufflers on my 09 Street Glide. I think I have narrowed it down to 2. The 4'' Big Louie and the 4" Jackpots. I do not know anyone that has ether so hearing them is out of the question. All my buddys have Riinehart on theirs. Im wanting something different, but sounds good. I was hoping to get some help here. I am looking for something that sounds good when idleing. An when you crank on it I want to be heard. I want them to be kinda mellow when cruising so I can hear my radio. I know this is what everyone else want also. But out of the two which do you guys things would fit my needs?
Running 4" jackpot's with comp baffles and fuelmoto 2-1-2 head pipe on my 14 sgs and love the sound. Nice deep rumble at idle and cruising, and plenty loud under moderate to heavy acceleration. Can hear the radio perfectly fine. The jackpots sound pretty good with the standard baffles they come with, but I wanted a bit louder and the comp baffles worked great for the sound I was after
I have the jackpots on my 09 glide with the fuel Moto tuner stock header and there competition baffles. I am 100% happy bike runs awesome sounds good when your cruising and when you get on it sounds great. Bike also runs at a good temp as well around 229 at average. Also sorry have a screaming eagle stage 1 as well. Customer service and craftsmanship is awesome.
I've been running 4" FM Dyno Tuned Jackpots Slash Up's for awhile now and I really like them. I am running the standard baffles. Thely have nice deep idle sound and when you get on it have nice bark. I do long trips and these are ear/stereo friendly at cruising hwy speeds.
So for now it is sounding like the Jackpots are the favorite. I like that they are a forum sponsor. An I have heard nothing but good things about the customer service.
