Default Fork Mounted wind deflectors or Lower Fairings

Looking to cut down some of the wind that comes up from below the tank. Have never used either of these but any suggestions on which would do the best job, lower fairings or fork mounted wind deflectors. Using a Klock Werks Billboard Flare and love if but want that lower air cut a little.

Looking at the JES fork mounted.

I have used the HD fork mounted deflectors on my Heritage and my Road King they work very well. I don't know about the lowers except that they would seem hot in the Summer

I use hard lower fairings year round. I open vents in Summer and close them in Winter. I also think my bike looks better with them than without them. Although most hard lowers are used with batwings, I think they look really good on RKs. They also make a great speaker platforms.

I also use the between the forks deflector (ashtray). It does make a small difference and is fairly inexpensive by HD standards. It was worth the price to me.

In really cold weather, I also use JSE fork mount deflectors. These things work really well in lessening air from under and around the tank. They work so well, I can't use them in the Summer. They just cut too much airflow.

I bought a used Street Glide a few weeks ago. The previous owner had added the Lowers to it. The first thing I did was take them off. Then I rode the bike and didn't like the amount of wind I was getting.

First I added the fixed wind wings to the fairing. They are only about $40 and while it made a big difference I still wasn't satisfied so I reinstalled the lowers and opened up the vents. Perfect now! So I would put both if you can handle the looks of the lowers.
