Default Reduce wind buffeting

What's the best way to reduce wind buffeting coming from the lower sides/gas tank area on a Street Glide? I recently added a 7" LRS Ultra windshield and that made a noticeable difference from the stock 4" SG shield. With that change though, now I really notice the turbulence coming from the lower sides of the fairing and/or gas tank area.
Looking to avoid wasting money and experimenting in chasing this down, so I thought I'd ask for opinions on what you have found that helps solve this issue? I don't want to clutter up the clean lines of the SG, so I'm looking to add a minimal amount of add-ons- fork baffle, lower fairings, fork deflectors, lower batwing deflectors, etc.
Appreciate any feedback thanks.

Fork baffles have done the trick for many of us.

They are inexpensive, easy to mount, but do change the look. They come in chrome or black.

No more bobble head here.

I'm in the same boat. I've done lower fairings and fork baffle. Still a little wind in the face. I'm guessing lower batwing deflectors and fork deflectors are the answer, just haven't done them yet.

You’ve hit most of the key items needed to reduce buffeting. Unfortunately the right combination seems to be a matter of trial and error for each bike and rider combo, what worked for me may not work for you?? On my 05 Electra Glide the dragon wings on the fairing where the best add-on. Next where the very Ugly fork mounted chrome deflectors, big and ugly!! The little “candy dish” deflector between the forks also helped some. I tried them all and eventually went with a larger windshield to really beat the buffeting. Good Luck...

Default Two cents worth (for free)

If you are happy with your windshield, that's a major part of the battle right there. However, without cluttering up the lines, you are somewhat limited down low. I installed the adjustable lower batwing deflectors and that helped some. (I like the H-D smoked ones as they kind of match my Merlo Sunglo and blended real well. I imagine they'd look fine on your Black Denim.) I just installed some vented lowers and that made a huge difference, but that is cluttersome.(Personally, I like the look and the extra speakers I installed sound great!) I have read that the deflectors that bolt to the forks help considerably, but I personally think they are as ugly as a baboons butt. Chrome, black, whatever. Good luck and let us know what works for you.

Frosty, get yourself some vinyl "elephant ears" (about $50 from H-D). They snap on over your crash-bar and go a long way towards eliminating the buffeting you're getting. Add that to the fork leg deflectors and fairing extenders and most of that wind blast from below will be gone.
Don't bother with that triple clamp baffle - it does nothing more that remove money from your wallet. I tried one both on and off and saw no difference either way.

I have a 6" Recurve from LRS and the HD front fairing deflectors and the buffeting is all but gone for me now. Not too much clutter on the bike and now I can see while running down the highway at speed...

Good Luck. I've tried all of it with little luck. This batwing is the only bike I've ever had that blows my hair in my face. Very irritating!
