Squeaking at speed from front - bearing?
When my front ABS wheel bearing went it made a whirring noise at speed. It made some clunks that caught me off guard and got me investigating.
I squirted some WD40 on the heim joints of the mount. Still squeaking.
I wonder if it isnt the wind whistling past the brackets of the Madstad windsheild I put on a few days ago. Sure sounds like squeaking tho.
Some things to check and do:
-Check the tightness of all fasteners that hold the hinges on the lids of your bags.
-Check the tighness of the screws that hold on your windshield and your front faring. There are 7 of them in my bike, not sure how many your road glide has.
-Remove your brake calipers, spray them down with brake cleaner and wipe the pistons clean. Torque back to specs during reinstall
-Check the proper tension of your final drive belt. Lots of stories on here about squeaks originating from the drive belt. A quick test is to take a bar of soap, and rub the dry soap bar all along both sides of the belt, all the way around. Then take it for a ride and see if that silences the squeak. If it does, then confirm proper belt tension adjustment.
-Make sure the seat screw is tight.
-Make sure your headlight mounting screws are tight
-I think someone already mentioned that the muffler hanger rubbers are problematic at creating squeaks after they get a little worn. A little lithium grease on them usually takes care of the issue (or new ones, they are cheap)
-Ensure your muffler clamps are torqued and tight
-Ensure that your jiffy stand mounting plate fasteners are tight
-Ensure that your jiffy stand still has the rubber piece in place to prevent steel on steel chatter
There may be other places to look as well, but these are a few easy ones to eliminate. I have found that noises that seem to come from a particular part of the bike many times originate in a totally different part of the bike. It's funny how the sounds bounce around.
Hope you can find the offending part.
