Does the dealership actually perform all the items on the list, or do they short-cut? I have performed all my own work up to this point but am not crazy about doing the steering head adjustment. Do they bother with it?? The only other reason to take it in would be their review of any service letters and common problems they don't share with the public.
They Better Do It!!!
Heck if ya do your own servicing (by the book) just take it in and have them check\adjust the steering head adjustment???.. Why pay them all the extra $$$$ if ya can do most of it yourself
My dealer (only 1 within 150miles) prices you right in to doing a full service. They seem real opposed to doing anything by the hr. guess I need to find a good indy
Worth it to who,the Dlr or you? If you can wrench on your own bike and have a manuel, you'll save big bucks by doing it yourself and then you'll know it was done and not short cutted.
I was under the impression that some warranties require you to maintain your factory service intervals with the dealer only. If not, they don't honor the warranty.
My dealer has a 10yr unlimted milage warrantie on the motor and trans but they have to do all of the required services, so i'm kinda stuck with letting them do it.
