If you plan on doing a stage 1 you can't use 3" baffles, not enough back pressure. Rush recommends 2 1/2 or 2 1/4 baffles for stage one. I have a set of 3" if anyone wants them (pay the shipping), just a good karma deal .............. I went with 2 1/4 with my stage 1. BTW, they are 2 screw mount for BL.

Once again ( stated for effect ) you cannot beat the Rush Team when it comes to customer service. I called about material for repacking mine last year and before I could finish asking how to go about getting the material they volunteered to send it to me free.

Not to turn this into a love fest, but my old Rush 3 1/2" slash downs had baffles that I could not hammer out.... Called Rush. They gave me something like 40% discount on a new set of tubes... So I spent a little more and purchased nice tubes with end caps. Maybe $300. Where would I find nice high-quality slip-ons for that price?

Great day on the Bay!

Thanks for your post. and sorry if we are off topic a little but its all learning about the Rush products

BTW - Rush has the BEST CS in the industry
I looked at the Rush site and they have two differ sets listed... One if you have cats and one if you don't. Anyone know the difference.
I still have the stock head pipes but plan on replacing they later. Does this mean you need different mufflers then?

I like that! I'll offer another set of 3-inch baffles for shipping. They're just taking up space anyway!

Call and talk to "Catfish" He told me that IF I ever wanted to get rid of the cat and do a stage one then the biggest I should go is the 2.5 = however, DO NOT take my or anyones word on this,,, Call Catfish

I have decided to just leave the Cat in and do not do the stage one - just too many 'possible' issues with warranty down the road - kept my last Harley for 11 years - with this one and ALL the electronics on it... removing the Cat and that stage one just opens up a possible can or worms... am NOT trying to start a Wild Fire here on yes or no on the warranty, just stating MY thoughts....

I've talked to Catfish when I got mine - 2-1/4" or 2-1/2" baffles is the "sweet spot" for those with cats who want to remove them someday. I should have listened when I ordered mine... I came around eventually.
